Yoga Remedy — A Restorative Practice for Whole Body

Join Kanan Kapila for whole-body yoga practice designed to sharpen focus, soften stiffness, restore energy, and improve overall balance. The class will embody classical teachings from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, specifically on verses that offer knowledge on pain prevention.

Open to all levels, some yoga asana (posture) practice is recommended. Please come hydrated and on an empty stomach, having something light such as fruit an hour or two beforehand. Light digestive tea will be served post-class.

About Kanan Kapila

Mom, Yoga Teacher, Holistic Psychotherapist

Kanan has always had a passion for helping people, which led her to a career as a therapist and yoga teacher with a focus on well-being through all stages of life. Born in India, the birthplace of Yoga, Kanan was introduced to physical and mental health through her upbringing and lifestyle. Melding her psychotherapy training with yoga, meditation, and a holistic healing approach, Kanan has designed her own unique practice of well-being and become a leading expert for body, mind, and spiritual awareness. Kanan founded The Vastu Yoga, based on the classical and therapeutic teachings of a well-aligned yoga practice. Kanan approaches Yoga as an art form. Her yoga classes are rhythmic and robust, integrating energizing and restorative movements with clear attention to what is present in body constitution, mindset, and breath. Through meaningful teachings and steady practice, yoga, and the supportive modalities clearly informs us that we can strengthen and refine the shape and quality of our body, mind, and heart.
