Ayurveda translates to the science of life. It’s a holistic system of medicine that originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. When there is an imbalance or stress in a person's consciousness, Ayurveda encourages certain lifestyle and natural therapies to regain balance between the body, mind, spirit, and one’s environment.
The concepts of universal interconnectedness, the body's constitution (prakriti), and life forces (doshas) are the primary basis of Ayurveda. Understanding your own life force, you can incorporate specific treatments that will aid your well-being by reducing symptoms, increasing immunity, lessening stress and worry, and expanding harmony in life.
In this workshop, Kanan will lead you through
- Your personal body constitution assessment
- Prescription to bring your unique dosha to its most content state
- Ayurvedic Massage Techniques
- Hands-on Ayurvedic Cooking Class in the Loopwell Kitchen
The practitioner will take away their own unique blueprint for well-being. Open to everyone curious about discovering holistic wellness mind-body practices!
**Please bring a bath towel and wear comfortable clothes.
