Ayurveda translates to knowledge of life or the science of life. It’s a holistic system of medicine that originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. When there is an imbalance or stress in a person's consciousness, Ayurveda encourages certain lifestyle and natural therapies to regain balance between the body, mind, spirit, and one’s environment.
The concepts of universal interconnectedness, the body's constitution (prakriti), and life forces (doshas) are the primary basis of Ayurveda. Understanding your own life force, you can incorporate specific treatments that will aid your well-being by reducing symptoms, increasing immunity, lessening stress and worry, and expanding harmony in life.
In this workshop, Kanan will lead you in learning the body according to Ayurvedic principles. The practitioner will take away their own unique blueprint for well-being.
Bring a bath towel and wear comfortable clothes.
