On December 11, 2014, the United Nations proclaimed June 21st as the International Day of Yoga.

Known for its numerous well-being benefits, yoga improves your balance, mood, flexibility, strength, sleep and mental health. It cultivates compassion and connection, on and off the mat. Yoga begins with individual growth, which then extends to connecting with community and ultimately, the world. By promoting yoga on a global scale, this day encourages people to adopt healthier lifestyles and incorporate mindfulness into daily routines.
